Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance activities within our organization. This position requires technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to environmental health and safety (EHS) practices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and support staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs, to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry best practices, equipment specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities to identify potential issues and implement appropriate preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and procurement, to prioritize maintenance needs and coordinate resources accordingly.
- Manage and optimize the maintenance budget by effectively allocating resources, controlling expenses, and evaluating cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex maintenance issues and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance data, such as equipment performance metrics, downtime records, and maintenance logs, to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular feedback, and support the professional development of maintenance team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in maintenance practices to enhance the organization's maintenance capabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Additional certifications or advanced technical training is a plus.
Proven experience in maintenance engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, techniques, and best practices across various industries.
Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software tools.
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving maintenance objectives.
Solid understanding of EHS regulations and practices, with a demonstrated commitment to creating a safe working environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
