In Danfoss Drives, Product Management and Development, we are looking for a Lead Electronics Engineer to join our Customized Engineering team which consist of 4 skilled and committed engineers that on project basis works with our global design centres in NAM and China. We are engineering solutions which help increasing energy efficiency and thus lowering carbon emissions, and are responsible for development of customer specified products in high volume.

Job Responsibilities

As a Power Electronics Engineer your responsibility will be to take part in and ensure the development of innovative, cost effective and reliable power electronic solutions.

More specially, you will:

  • Participate in product development – all aspects of Power Circuit Engineering lifecycle from early requirement specification, detailed design specifications, design, implementation, supplier interaction, verification test, validation test support and release to hand over to supply chain

- Focus will be on the following technologies: Power modules, IGBT, SiC, thyristors, gate drive, dc-link (inductor & capacitor), SMPS and various analogue circuits - but also system aspects like sensing, protection, functional safety, and grid robustness and harmonics

  • Have a simulation focused approach where early simulation models are matured and validated during the development
  • Take part in technology and method development including corporation with universities and knowledge centers
  • Be involved in learnings from field failure analysis

Background & Skills

You have a Bachelor’s- or Master’s degree in Power electronics or equivalent. You have some year of experience within design and test of electronics – preferable power electronics.

You are passioned about power electronics and developing products, all the way from idea to final product, that will be produced in our factory.

You have flair and natural interest & focus on simulation driven development, as minimum strong experience in applying PSpice circuit simulation, but preferable also experience in Matlab/Simulink for system analysis/simulation and relevant Ansys packages for more advanced component/board/system simulations.

On the more personal side it is important that you:

  • have a structured work mode approach, and the ability to balance analytical- and action-oriented mindset focusing both on quality and progress/finalization
  • are a team player and can build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures
  • have a positive and can-do mindset
  • follow your tasks from idea to final implementation and documentation.

Last but least, you have solid communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
