Your Role
The National LCL Manager – Sea Logistics is responsible for the commercial, financial and operational performance of the LCL product in Egypt. He/she develops an aligned strategy for the LCL product, together with National Sea Logistics Management and corporate/regional LCL management and executes this in all three fields of performance. To drive and integrate the LCL initiatives in the national Sea Logistics organization in terms of operational excellence, process improvements, commercial initiatives, and cost/revenue controlYour Responsibilities
- Owner of the LCL Profit/Loss statement
- Ensure proper GP development on existing business
- Manage the cost allocations on the LCL P&L in alignment with National Finance department
- Lead the purchasing process of NVOCC rates (C2C) for the contracts under responsibility of Egypt
- Negotiate rates with LCL product provides such as CFSs and trucking companies against the best possible
conditions for Kuehne Nagel - Follow up on adherence to financial KPIs of the Sea Logistics process such as invoicing, claim and billing etc
- Manage the month-end closing process together with the responsible teams for LCL shipments
- Ensure that incoming invoices from LCL suppliers are in accordance to agreed conditions
Your Skills and Experiences
- Minimum of 5 years experience in international sea forwarding, (LCL experience is preferred but not
required) - Graduate or Bachelors degree of any related course
- Strong Leadership skills
- Strong customer focus and sensitivity towards stakeholder relationships
