- Reviewing the purchase contract, comment on it if any and have the clean version duly signed.
- Reviewing the fixture recap / CP for the vessels.
- Issue all required documents from the authorities, such kind import permit, certificates etc..
- Send the documents instruction to sellers, review all shipping documents drafts and make sure all have been issued correctly.
- At completion of loading, declare the goods to insurance company for FOB & CNF purchases. Also to notify all buyers by sending the notice of deliver.
- Coordinate with the treasury for documents presentation, follow the payment process with the bank.
- After payments to sellers, move on the opposite way with buyers, collect the bank details from buyers, instruct the financing bank to present the said documents to buyers’ bank.
- Give the feedback to buyers that documents delivered to their nominated bank and ask for the payment.
- Coordinate with the logistics department for the discharging and storage operation, nominate the disport, stevedoring company and WH etc..
- Prepare the initial laytime calculation to know when vessel shall be on demurrage.
- Nominate the vessel agent, surveyors and clearance agent and coordinate with all concerned parties along with the authorities for sampling upon shipment arrival.
- Finalize all the customs formalities and obtain the discharging approvals from the concerned parties.
- Coordinate with the agent and the logistics team to call the vessel to discharging berth once available.
- Prepare the final laytime with sellers, vessels’ owners and close this file.
- Keep following releasing of goods and report the shortage to insurance company if any and to follow the claim.
Your profile
- Bachelors & Masters in Science in Agri, Agro Engineering, Veterinarian or Business educational background
- Basic knowledge of animal nutrition and technical applications
- At least 5 years’ experience in the B2B food, dairy and/or ingredients business
- Business development spirit
- Autonomy and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Public speaking and negotiation skills
- Experience working in a matrix organization (cross-cultural mindset)
- Flexible and willing to travel regularly within the region
- Excellent English language skills, Arab languages would be appreciated
- Enthusiasm, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
- Strong customer, service orientation skills
